About Us

Hardy, born in 1980, B.A. Engineer in Communication and Information Technologies, studied in Düsseldorf, working as project manager in innovative technologies

Born in Bucuresti, the capital of Romania, Hardy’s parents brought him to Germany in 1983. Except for a five years stopover in Fulda, he spent most of his time in Duesseldorf. One day he started waving to me, his neighbour,  at the opposite side of the street and went on for almost half a year… with consequences… How lucky he is that I started sharing his passion for bikes! Up to now we cycled many sporty miles together dreaming of going on a real bike journey one day.
Hardy is a technology freak and a music lover, he is fascinated by photography and always curious to meet new people. He is happiest when he has time for long bike rides and a biiiig yummy meal afterwards. And he brings a perfect premise for the journey: his pleasure about improvising, tinkering and finding new technical solutions for whatever may appear.

Lena, born in 1983, M.A. in Media and Cultural Analysis, studied in Duesseldorf, Nantes/France, Cape Town/South Africa, working as communication consultant

After finishing school in the small town Melle in Northern Germany, things luckily brought her to Duesseldorf to study culture, media and communication. One day of our neighbourhood she decided to wave back to me and we met down on the street. Obviously, it was not just us but she also fell in love with her first custom-made mountain bike that I built for her. Once in a while she left Duesseldorf to study abroad, to travel, to work but always decided to come back… what shows her fascination for foreign cultures and people just as well as for her beloved friends in the Dorf :-).
She is a sportsgirl, open-minded, adventurous and in love with life. Travelling by bike she wants to learn about the really important things in life, about her own limits, physical and mental capabilities and to value all the little beautiful things that are too often suppressed by our convenient lifestyles.
